Ravenclaw TBR- July 2019

51064637_230823194536734_7073384732158853120_nI’m so excited for July! I’m participating in several different read a thon challenges, and they all look fantastic! I’m also so excited to be on team Spiderman for the Reading Rivalry challenge this month, because Spiderman is by far my favorite superhero! (Plus, who can deny that Tom Holland is delightfully adorable??)

Reading Rivalry Criteria:
1. Author Highlight (Neil Gaiman, Marissa Meyer, Adam Silvera) – Stardust (Neil Gaiman
2.  Based on a True Story – Molly’s Game (Molly Bloom)
3.  Book With A Persons Name In The Title – Sorcery of Thorns (Margaret Rogerson)
4.  A Book Featuring A Super Power – Renegades (Marissa Meyer)
5.  A Book From Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club – Daisy Jones And The Six (Taylor Jenkins Reid)
6.  A Book With Less Than 5,000 Ratings On Goodreads – The Dating Game (Kiley Roache)
7. A Book Featuring a Subject You Don’t Know Anything About – Song of the Dead (Sarah Glenn Marsh)
8.  A Book Cover Or Title Featuring Your Favorite Color – Reign of the Fallen (Sarah Glenn Marsh)
9.  A Classic/Retelling of a Classic Action/Adventure Story – Tiger Queen (Annie Sullivan)
10. A Book Featuring a Character That Is Not-Quite-Human – Lifel1k3 (Jay Kristoff)

I’ve got two other books planned that do not fit into criteria for RR, and those are:
– A Sky Without Stars

I’m also going to be participating in The Book Junkie Trials! The amount of planning that went into this game is absolutely INSANE and I commend Rachael for putting it all together! If you want to know more about this readathon, you should definitely start by reading Felicia’s post about it, I also definitely recommend watching Racheal’s Youtube video where she lays everything out! Thankfully there aren’t too many prompts for that one, so I was easily able to fit my TBR into the citeria! I’ll be on team Scribe, meaning I’ll have the advantage of being able to change one of the books on my TBR, BUT I’m also at the disadvantage of having to read at least one book over 500 pages! As part of the challenge, I also have to read all of these books in the order listed below!

  1. Dwarf Mount: You spot a fair tavern wench, however the Dwarf Mines, grimey and dusty, didn’t evoke a very romantic feeling. Read a book with a hint of romance to get you in the mood.
    • The Dating Game
  2. Apothecary Towers: Where the wizards dwell. Tricksters. They have blind-folded you and randomized all your books, choose a book at random from your bookshelf.
    • Molly’s Game
  3. The Great Library: Ahh, the great archives, find and read a book that has been on your TBR forever.
    • Reign of the Fallen
  4. The Drowning Deep: The Whirlpool… is so… mesmerizing. Reed a book with rich world building that will suck you into its own world, instead.
    • Sky Without Stars
  5. The Bookie Grail: Here you find a lost manuscript, delivered on this forgotten island by a fallen star. Read the group book: Stardust.
    • Stardust

Have you read any of the things I’m planning for July?
What’s on your July TBR?

Happy Reading!
