The Autumn Book Tag

I haven’t done a book tag in forever, but I really want to get back to them and this one seemed like a perfect one. I saw it on Nine Bookish Lives and it was originally created by Emma of Drinking by My Shelf.

What is your favorite thing about fall?

I love so many things about fall! Some of my absolute favorites are:

  • the sound of crunching leaves
  • curling up in a cozy blanket with a good book
  • watching The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • SWEATERS!

September brings back school memories. Which book reminds you of your school days? What were your favorite and least favorite subjects?

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn definitely reminds me of my school days! Music was such a huge part of my high school days and this is full of that.

My favorite subjects in school were English and Math, while my least favorite was History.

What cover reminds you of autumn?

The first book that immediately came to mind for me was The Wild Path by Sarah R. Baughman. This cover has all the colors of autumn on it and definitely reminds me of the season!

October brings Halloween. What is your favorite horror or Halloween book? What’s your favorite horror/Halloween film?

I don’t read horror much, but a book that definitely gave me spooky Halloween vibes is Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone. This book is perfect for October and one I highly recommend!

Like books, I don’t watch horror movies. My favorite Halloween movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas and Halloweentown!

With November it’s time for bonfire night & firework displays. What’s the most exciting book you’ve read that really kept you gripped?

This is also Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone!

I haven’t had a book grip my attention so much in quite a while and this one did that from the very first chapter. I adore this book and can’t wait for the sequel.

What book is your favorite cozy comfort read?

My favorite type of cozy reads that comfort me are adult romances. I love that they’re usually a similar type of book that usually end in a happy way.

One of my recent favorites that I would consider a comfort read is Founded on Goodbye by Kat Singleton. This is a rockstar romance which is I really enjoy. This one was slightly different from other rockstar books I have read which really made it hold my interest.

Curled up with a good book, what is your hot drink of choice?

I love hot apple cider! It’s always my drink of choice during the colder months.

What plans are you looking forward to over the next few months?

I’m looking forward to a lot of things. Halloween is the closest one. It’s one of our favorites and always a fun time.

What Autumn book release are you most anticipating?

My most anticipated Autumn book release is definitely Little Thieves by Margaret Owen. I have been looking forward to this one since last year and definitely can’t wait to read it!

What Autumn movie release are you most looking forward to?

I honestly have no clue about any movies coming out the rest of this year. Movies isn’t something I keep track of like I do with books.
