I was provided an advanced copy of More Than Maybe by the publisher through Edelweiss. All thoughts are my own.

I was definitely anxiously waiting for More Than Maybe as soon as I finished You’d Be Mine last year. I kept putting that one off for the longest time because I figured I knew what it was going to be and I was so very wrong about that one. As soon as I was able to get my hands on More Than Maybe, I immediately began reading it. I knew I wasn’t going to make the same mistake of holding off on it like I did with her debut novel.

More Than Maybe follows Luke and Vada and the story is told in both of their perspectives. This is something I absolutely love to see because you don’t just get one side of the story. By getting both of their perspectives, you’re able to really understand both main characters and you end up rooting for them even more than if you were only getting to see one of their perspectives.

“Lyrics do that sometimes. They find their home at just the right time. Like a secret message in a bottle, floating on a current for decades, only to wash up at someone’s feet when the words are needed.”

Erin Hahn, More Than Maybe

Just like in You’d Be Mine, music is a huge part of the story. For me, music was a huge part of how I coped with things while growing up and I really love that these stories have such a huge focus on songs and music and what those words and melodies can mean to people. The songs are mentioned throughout the story and most of the time I honestly felt like I could hear the songs playing even though it was late and night and completely silent when I was reading.

I’ve now been able to read More Than Maybe twice and for me, it’s held up so well. I absolutely adore all of the characters and I just love their story.

More Than Maybe gets all the stars from me! I just adore Erin Hahn’s writing and her characters and absolutely can’t wait for more from her in the future!
