First Quarter of 2022 Wrap Up

I’ve come to realize that while I love the monthly wrap ups, sometimes they’re just not as feasible for me. I still want to do wrap ups of some sort though so will be transitioning to quarterly wrap ups!

This wrap up will look at my reading in January, February, and March!

In these three months, I read 133 books which equaled out to 42,382 pages. This equaled out to an average of 471 pages read each day. To break it down by month, I read 64 books in January, 31 books in February, and 38 books in March. By pages, I read 20,506 in January, 9,117 in February, and 12,759 in March.

Of the 133 books I read in this quarter, 118 of them were part of a series (88.7%), 13 were standalones (9.8%), and 2 were a companion to a series (1.5%).

When it comes down to intended audience for the books I read in this quarter, all of them have been adult books.

My ratings for this quarter were unsurprisingly mostly four stars! I had 1 one star book, 4 two star book, 28 three star books, 81 four star books, and 19 five star books.

The source of my books is something else I love to look at. This quarter this is where I sourced the books I read:

• Owned (Digital and Physical): 13 (9.8%)
• Kindle Unlimited: 101 (75.9%)
• Audible: 2 (1.5%)
• Other: 17 (12.8%)

Kindle Unlimited is definitely the main source for where I’ve been obtaining my books from. As I’ve transitioned back to reading adult romance books, I do not see this changing anytime soon.

The format of the books for this quarter are as follows:

• Audio: 2 (1.5%)
• eBook: 110 (82.7%)
• Physical: 4 (3%)
• ARC: 17 (12.8%)

These almost directly match with the source of the books which doesn’t surprise me at all! The ARCs that I’ve read during this quarter are ones that I have received through indie book tour groups (noted as other in the source section)

Lastly, I like to look at genres.

• Contemporary: 110 (82.7%)
• Fantasy: 6 (4.5%)
• Historical: 1 (0.8%)
• Paranormal: 14 (10.5%)
