It’s Monday! What are you reading? | January 16, 2023

This year, I’m hoping to share more about what I am reading. To try to achieve that, I have decided to participate in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? that is hosted by The Book Date. In the past this wouldn’t have been something I would have considered doing as I typically read many books in a week, but as I am back in school and taking several courses, the amount of time that I have to read books has lessened.

I didn’t read much last week as my semester started and I made it a point to prioritize assignments. As I now know what to expect from this semester, I’m hoping to be able to read a little bit outside of my required textbook chapters.

I am currently listening to the audio of Spare by Prince Harry and reading Juniper Harvey and the Vanishing Kingdom by Nina Varela.

What are you reading?

First Line Fridays | January 6, 2023

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?  If you want to make your own post, follow the rules below:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

If you’re using Twitter, don’t forget to use #FirstLinesFridays!
