Cast in Firelight | Book Tour and Giveaway

I’m so excited to be a part of the book tour for Cast in Firelight by Dana Swift that is being hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours.

TITLE: Cast in Firelight
AUTHOR: Dana Swift
GENRE: YA Fantasy
RELEASE DATE: January 19, 2021

Goodreads Amazon Book Depository Barnes & Noble | Indigo | IndieBound

Synopsis:

The first book in an epic, heart-pounding fantasy duology about two royal heirs betrothed to be married, but whose loyalties are torn, and a ruthless enemy who threatens their world, perfect for fans of Sabaa Tahir, Hafsah Faizal, and Renée Ahdieh.

Adraa is the royal heir of Belwar, a talented witch on the cusp of taking her royal ceremony test, and a girl who just wants to prove her worth to her people.

Jatin is the royal heir to Naupure, a competitive wizard who’s mastered all nine colors of magic, and a boy anxious to return home for the first time since he was a child.

Together, their arranged marriage will unite two of Wickery’s most powerful kingdoms. But after years of rivalry from afar, Adraa and Jatin only agree on one thing: their reunion will be anything but sweet.

Only, destiny has other plans and with the criminal underbelly of Belwar suddenly making a move for control, their paths cross…and neither realizes who the other is, adopting separate secret identities instead.

Between dodging deathly spells and keeping their true selves hidden, the pair must learn to put their trust in the other if either is to uncover the real threat. Now Wickery’s fate is in the hands of rivals..? Fiancées..? Partners..? Whatever they are, it’s complicated and bound for greatness or destruction.

BOOK TAG

ERIF, GODDESS OF FIRE (RED FORTES) – A BOOK WITH A ROMANCE WITH LOTS OF FIRE AND PASSION.

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout

As an avid romance reader, I could pick so many books for this prompt, but I just adore this book so much and it’s one that I could reread over and over again and never get tired of. This book (and it’s sequel!) are full of fire and passion and of course let’s of sexy times!

RENNI, GODDESS OF INNER CAPABILITY (ORANGE FORTES) – A BOOK WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER SHOWS A LOT OF PERSONAL GROWTH.

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn

I absolutely love Erin Hahn’s writing and the stories she creates and definitely think that You’d Be Mine definitely shows characters who grow a lot personally. This one could be a tough read for some, but I loved watching the characters grow throughout the story.

RIA, GOD OF AIR (YELLOW FORTES) – A CHARACTER THAT “HAS A CERTAIN AIR” ABOUT THEMSELVES. AKA A SOPHISTICATED/ROYAL/REGAL CHARACTER.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

I’m going pretty literal with this one and choosing a story that has a royal main character. This is another story I can go back to over and over again and never tire of!

HTRAE, GODDESS OF EARTH (GREEN FORTES) – A BOOK COVER WITH PLANTS/FLOWERS/EARTH ON THE COVER.

Deity by Jennifer L. Armentruout

I won’t talk about Deity a bunch as it’s book three in a series, but this was one of the last few books I read in 2020 and I fell in love with this series so much! I absolutely love these covers for the series as well.

RETAW, GOD OF WATER (BLUE FORTES) – A BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY.

Five Feet Apart by Rachel Lippencott

Not many books actually make me cry. While I get emotionally attached to characters and their stories, they just don’t usually affect me in that way. That wasn’t the case with Five Feet Apart. This one hit very close for me and I cried like a baby because of the personal connection I have to parts of it.

RAW, GOD OF WAR (PURPLE FORTES) – BOOK WITH A BATTLE, SOLDIER, OR WEAPON ON THE COVER.

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Yes, another book by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This one is the sequel to From Blood and Ash and is another one I’m completely obsessed with. I absolutely love these covers and it might be one of my favorites that have weapons on the cover.

LAEH, GODDESS OF HEALING (PINK FORTES) -A BOOK THAT FELT LIKE A HUG.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend

This book is amazing and always feels like a big warm hug from an old friend. I will never tire of this one or this series!

DIOC, GOD OF THE COLD (WHITE FORTES) – A BOOK FULL OF SNOW.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Mas

For this prompt, I ‘m choosing the novella in the ACOTAR series. This one has lots of snow and probably my favorite snowball fight scene ever!

WODAHS, GOD OF SHADOW (BLACK FORTES) – A BOOK WITH A DARK THEME/SUBJECT/TONE.

Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight

This book is definitely a dark book! Den of Vipers is a reverse harem mafia story, but also has taboo sexual scenes that could be too much for some. Definitely one to look into prior to reading it.

TOP FIVE REASONS TO READ CAST IN FIRELIGHT
