Third Quarter of 2021 Check In

It’s time for another quarterly check in! This check in will look at my reading over July, August, and September. This wasn’t my greatest quarter of the year, but I enjoyed a lot of what I read and to me, that matters more.

In these three months of 2021, I read 90 books which equaled out to 22,586 pages. This equaled out to an average of 245.5 pages read each day. For this wrap up, I won’t be listing all the books I’ve read over the last three months, but if you’d like to see exactly what I read in July, August, or September, you can click on any of those months and see the list of what I read!

Of the 89 books I read in July, August and September, 72 of them were part of a series (80%), 10 were standalones (11.1%), and 8 were a reread (8.9%).

When it comes down to intended audience for the books I read, 1 of them was a middle grade book (1.1%), 3 of them were young adult books (3.3%), and 86 of them were adult books (95.6%).

My ratings for these months were as follows: I had 8 two star books, 31 three star books, 49 four star books, and 2 five star books. My favorite books of this quarter were Neon Gods by Katee Robert and Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone.

Lastly, I like to look at genres.

  • Contemporary: 75 (83.4%)
  • Fantasy: 3 (3.3%)
  • Horror: 1 (1.1%)
  • Paranormal: 11 (12.2%)

What did you read in this quarter of 2021? What was your favorite book?
